In 2008, we like most business in the world were impacted by the recession, here at
SWPC we were forced to let go 50% of our employees. In 2009 due to loss of orders and to
keep our employees we paid our employees 32 hours a week just to sit at home as we had no
work and refused to let them go. To this date, we remain slow and are barley staying open
therefore the additional expenses of having to go through a closure at this time would greatly
influencing our ability to remain open.
We respectfully request that in accordance with Barclays California Code of Regulations,
page 758.338(b) (2) register 2004, No. 24: 6-11-2004 under paragraph (E), we are allowed to
maintain the zinc processing equipment in a decommissioned state. We will continue to take all
steps necessary to prevent threats to human health and the environment.
Sincerely
Bill Palmer
Plant Manager
Sumiden Wire products
1412 EI .Pinal Drive
Stockton, Ca. 95205
Phone: (209) 466-8624 ext 136
Fax: (209) 941-2990
Mobile: (209) 649-8654
Page 2
