h. Proposed floor area <br /> i. Occupant load based on the CBC <br /> j. Occupant load based on the CPC <br /> 6. For each proposed conversion of existing buildings, the change in use will constitute a <br /> change of occupancy. A change of occupancy will require a code analysis report and <br /> necessary plans prepared by an architect or engineer in accordance with the California <br /> Existing Building Code. The report and plans shall identify existing conditions, propose <br /> alterations necessary to bring the building in compliance with the current code and include <br /> the following: <br /> a. Description of proposed use <br /> b. Existing and proposed Occupancy Groups <br /> c. Type of construction <br /> d. Sprinklers (Yes or No) <br /> e. Number of stories <br /> f. Building height <br /> g. Allowable floor area <br /> h. Proposed floor area <br /> i. Occupant load based on the CBC for the new use <br /> j. Occupant load based on the CPC for the new use <br /> k. Risk Category analysis. (Agricultural Buildings are allowed to be constructed to Risk <br /> Category I, whereas other occupancies require Risk Category II or ll.) <br /> Modifications to existing buildings are required to include upgrades related to disability <br /> access pursuant to the California Existing Building Code. <br /> 7. Accessible routes shall be provided per CBC § 11 B-206. At least one accessible <br /> route shall be provided within the site from accessible parking spaces and accessible <br /> passenger loading zones; public streets and sidewalks; and public transportation stops to the <br /> accessible building or facility entrance they serve. Where more than one route is provided, <br /> all routes must be accessible. §11 B-206.2.1 <br /> 8. At least one accessible route shall connect accessible buildings, accessible facilities, <br /> accessible elements and accessible spaces that are on the same site. §11 B-206.2.2 <br /> 9. At least one accessible route shall connect accessible building or facility entrances with all <br /> accessible spaces and elements within the building or facility, including mezzanines, which <br /> are otherwise connected by a circulation path. §11B-206.2.4 <br /> 10. Parking spaces will be required to accommodate persons with disabilities in compliance with <br /> Chapter 11 B of the California Building Code. Note that accessible parking spaces are <br /> required for each phase of the project. These parking space(s) shall be located as close as <br /> possible to the primary entrance to the building. <br /> 11. Adequate sanitary facilities shall be provided for the facility, per the requirements of Chapter <br /> 4 of the California Plumbing Code. <br /> 12.
