I Closure Summary Report • ART & ARTISTS ' 204 East Lodi Avenue, Lodi, California ' 1 0 INTRODUCTION ' In accordance with a request from Ms Mary Lehr,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE), has prepared this Closure Summary Report for 204 East Lodi Avenue, Lodi, California Remediation progress soil samples were collected on 28 February 1997, quarterly ground water monitoring ' activities were performed on 10 April 1997, monitoring activities for the in-situ soil vapor extraction and air sparging systems were performed periodically through Februaiy 1997 The location of the site and its surroundings are illustrated in Figure 1 - Location Map Structures and well locations on ' the site are illustrated in Figure 2 - Site Plan The monitoring activities were performed in accordance with guidelines for investigation of ' underground storage tank (UST) sites established by the San Joaquin County - Public Health Services - Enviromnental Health Division (FHS-EHD) and by the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) 2 0 BACKGROUND/PREVIOUS INVESTIGATION ' 2 1 UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK REMOVAL ' A single 550-gallon UST was removed from the site on 23 January 1987 by Thorpe Oil Inc rhe US F had contained leaded gasoline and was located inside the existing structure, near the southeast ' comer(Figure 2) Total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline (TPI-1-g) were detected at a concentration of 1,400 parts per million (ppnl, reported as milligrams per kilogram.), toluene was detected at a concentration of 270 ppm, and xylenes were detected at 18 ppm in a soil sample ' collected from beneath the UST Subsequently, the PHS-EHD required further investigation at the site to detennine whether or not ground water had been impacted by the release Overexcavation of impacted soil was not performed, soil removed during the UST removal was returned to the ' excavation ' 22 MONITORING WELL INSTALLATION ' Three ground water monitoring wells were installed on 22 and 23 Iuly 1987 by Weiss Associates Monitoiing wells-MW-I; MW12,-and-MW-3 were completed with 4-inch diameter slotted PVC casing to depths of 65, 60, and 59 feet below surface grade (bsg), respectively Ground water was ' encountered at a depth of approximately 50 feet bsg Petroleum hydrocarbons were detected in soil . samples collected from MW-1,hydrocarbons were not detected in soil samples analyzed from MW-2 or MW-3 Analytical results of soil samples are suer manzed on Table 1 Monitoring well installation
