I <br /> Closure Summary Report <br /> • ART & ARTISTS <br /> ' 204 East Lodi Avenue, Lodi, California <br /> ' 1 0 INTRODUCTION <br /> ' In accordance with a request from Ms Mary Lehr,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE), has <br /> prepared this Closure Summary Report for 204 East Lodi Avenue, Lodi, California Remediation <br /> progress soil samples were collected on 28 February 1997, quarterly ground water monitoring <br /> ' activities were performed on 10 April 1997, monitoring activities for the in-situ soil vapor extraction <br /> and air sparging systems were performed periodically through Februaiy 1997 The location of the <br /> site and its surroundings are illustrated in Figure 1 - Location Map Structures and well locations on <br /> ' the site are illustrated in Figure 2 - Site Plan <br /> The monitoring activities were performed in accordance with guidelines for investigation of <br /> ' underground storage tank (UST) sites established by the San Joaquin County - Public Health <br /> Services - Enviromnental Health Division (FHS-EHD) and by the Central Valley Regional Water <br /> Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) <br /> 2 0 BACKGROUND/PREVIOUS INVESTIGATION <br /> ' 2 1 UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK REMOVAL <br /> ' A single 550-gallon UST was removed from the site on 23 January 1987 by Thorpe Oil Inc rhe <br /> US F had contained leaded gasoline and was located inside the existing structure, near the southeast <br /> ' comer(Figure 2) Total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline (TPI-1-g) were detected at a <br /> concentration of 1,400 parts per million (ppnl, reported as milligrams per kilogram.), toluene was <br /> detected at a concentration of 270 ppm, and xylenes were detected at 18 ppm in a soil sample <br /> ' collected from beneath the UST Subsequently, the PHS-EHD required further investigation at the <br /> site to detennine whether or not ground water had been impacted by the release Overexcavation of <br /> impacted soil was not performed, soil removed during the UST removal was returned to the <br /> ' excavation <br /> ' 22 MONITORING WELL INSTALLATION <br />' Three ground water monitoring wells were installed on 22 and 23 Iuly 1987 by Weiss Associates <br /> Monitoiing wells-MW-I; MW12,-and-MW-3 were completed with 4-inch diameter slotted PVC <br /> casing to depths of 65, 60, and 59 feet below surface grade (bsg), respectively Ground water was <br />' encountered at a depth of approximately 50 feet bsg Petroleum hydrocarbons were detected in soil <br /> . samples collected from MW-1,hydrocarbons were not detected in soil samples analyzed from MW-2 <br /> or MW-3 Analytical results of soil samples are suer manzed on Table 1 Monitoring well installation <br />
