Approximately 2 gallons of PE 2546 BAKER <br /> 30 min coolant was released from a UPS truck at 1444 Lathrop Rd. Called Jennifer SC 007 <br /> Trigos with UPS at 510-453-2090. She verified that approximately 2 gallons of <br /> coolant was released from a punctured radiator of a truck parked in the dirt lot. <br /> UPS is the responsible party. No storm drains or waterways were impacted. Spill <br /> stayed on the property. Spill is being cleaned up by RAH Environmental. <br /> Clean-up is almost complete. Contaminated dirt will be disposed of as hazardous <br /> waste by RAH Environmental. <br /> Verified site is a permit holder. Discussed complaint with Elena Manzo (Lead Sr. <br /> REHS). Elena asked that UPS provide a photo once clean-up is complete since <br /> the spill was on dirt. <br /> Called Jennifer Trigos again to request a photo once clean-up is completed. She <br /> said that she would do that and I gave her my email to send it to. <br /> 10/25/2019 Received an email from Jennifer Trigos (District Environmental Coordinator) at PE 2546 BAKER <br /> 60 min jmtrigos@ups.com that they were affected by the power outage and that is why SC 007 <br /> she did not send me a photo of the clean-up that day. <br /> Reviewed photos provided by Jennifer Trigos. From the photos and email it <br /> appears that the truck also leaked coolant on the asphalt as well. That area was <br /> power washed according to the email. <br /> Called Jennifer Trigos at 209-547-6022 to get more information on the clean-up <br /> since only a before photo was included of the spill on the dirt. Phone just kept <br /> ringing. No voice mail. Called her at 510-453-2090 and left a message. <br /> Received a call from Jennifer Trigos. She said that the photo of the dirt was <br /> before the clean-up was completed. She will send after photos but is having <br /> trouble due to the power outage that day. I asked her about the power washing. <br /> She said that the truck leaked in front of the shop as well and the area was power <br /> washed and vacuumed up. She said that the water did not go into any storm <br /> drains. She said that two 55 gallon drums of waste was generated from the <br /> clean-up; one liquid and one solid. <br /> 10/28/2019 Emailed Jennifer Trigos (District Environmental Coordinator) at jmtrigos@ups.com PE 2546 BAKER <br /> 6 min for an update on the completion photos. SC 007 <br /> 10/30/2019 Received after photo of the excavated dirt once clean-up was completed on PE 2546 BAKER <br /> 12 min 10/28/2019. SC 544 <br /> Clean-up is complete. Two 55 gallon drums of waste (one liquid, one solid)was <br /> generated from the clean-up. Disposal records will be verified on next routine <br /> hazardous waste inspection for PR0538378. <br /> Abated complaint as 02-Office response only.
