However, the water well testing indicates the aquifer being utilized for
drinking water is not exceeding the levels of nitrate considered suitable for the potable water supply.
Based on the information provided, the EHD finds that the NL Study supports the suitability for standard
OWTS usage for this parcel for the proposed home, pursuant to San Joaquin County Ordinance Code Title
9, Section 9-1105.2(d), provided the existing and proposed OWTS and 100% replacement areas can meet
all required minimum setbacks from any water wells. The site map for the building permit for the second unit
dwelling must be revised and submitted to the EHD for review prior to the issuance of the building permit.
The site map must be drawn to scale and must show the location of all buildings, driveways, the existing and
proposed OWTS, the OWTS replacement areas and any water wells within 200 feet of the proposed OWTS
and replacement areas. All OWTS dispersal areas cannot be driven over, paved over, or used for any other
purpose.
If you have any questions please contact Michael Kith, REHS, Program Coordinator at mkith@slgov.org or
(209) 468-3444.
Michkel Kith, REHS
Program Coordinator
c: Terracon Consultant, Inc.
1868 E.
