Lodi Avenue, Lodi
Dear Antonia:
As we discussed yesterday, I am a real estate developer attempting to acquire 610 W. Lodi
Avenue in Lodi. In the course of our due diligence,we conducted a soils investigation on
this property. Because of these investigations,we were placed on a "local contaminated
site list" with the Public Health Services of San Joaquin County. Enclosed is a copy of
letter from this organization to the owner of the property instructing us to contact you
regarding "closure" or otherwise taking the necessary steps to get this property off this list.
Enclosed are copies of the reports done by Anderson Geotechnical Consultants. Ina
nutshell, we suspected that there may have been underground tanks on the property and
that there may have been some contamination by an underground sand and grease trap.
We conducted a magnetometer survey of the property and found only two anomalies which
proved to be underground concrete that were used as a mechanic's pit and a support footing
for a building that had been located on the property. After extensive trenching,no evidence
of any tank was found on the property nor was there any level of contamination of either
the soil or water requiring remedial action.
To enable you to review the reports quickly and efficiently ,I have taken the liberty to high
light the conclusions and recommendations of each investigation and have provided a
summary of Scope of Work,Findings, and Recommendations for each report.
In summary,we have found no contamination on this property and therefore should not be
on any contaminated site list. I am proceeding rapidly to develop this property, and I
cannot do so so while this property remains on a contaminated site list. While I realize you
have a very busy schedule, the enclosed outline should allow you to review these reports in
short order. I then anticipate receiving a letter from you or the Public Health Services of
San Joaquin County stating that no further action is required on this property and that we
are no longer on a contaminated site list.
l 6\`
16 'I I`
