Kasey Foley,REHS,Assistant Director <br /> PROGRAM COORDINATORS <br /> Robert McClellon,REHS <br /> Jeff Carruesco, REHS, RDI <br /> Willy Ng, REHS <br /> Muniappa Naidu, REHS <br /> Michael Kith, REHS <br /> July 7, 2019 <br /> Abby Racco <br /> Live Oak GeoEnvironmental <br /> 407 West Oak Street , i <br /> Lodi CA 95240 <br /> RE: Soil Suitability/Nitrate Loading Study <br /> 6819 East Lathrop Road, Manteca <br /> APN 197-140-09, SR0080832 <br /> The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) has reviewed the Soil <br /> Suitability/Nitrate Loading (SSNL) Study, dated June 27, 2019 and submitted on June 28, 2019 for <br /> the above noted location and has the following comments for your consideration. <br /> The SSNL was prepared to determine the suitability of the above noted parcel for onsite wastewater <br /> treatment system (OWTS) usage and the potential impact of nitrate to groundwater for a new 3- <br /> bedroom single family home. <br /> Based on the information provided, the EHD finds that the SSNL Study supports the suitability for <br /> standard OWTS usage for this parcel for the proposed home, pursuant to San Joaquin County <br /> Ordinance Code Title 9, Section 9-1105.2(d). <br /> The existing irrigation well installed in 1977 shows an elevated Nitrate Nitrogen level of 12.3 mg/I, <br /> which exceeds the drinking water standard of 10.0 mg/I. A new domestic well will be required to be <br /> installed to provide a potable water supply for the proposed single family home.
