BUILDING DEPARTMENT The San Joaquin County Building Department (SJCBD) maintains records for the construction and demolition of buildings and structures not within city boundaries (Appendix C). The records are on a computer data base for 1992 and subsequent years. Permits issued prior to 1992 are not easily ascertainable and reviewable as the permit records are filed in notebooks by year then by street name; many records prior to 1960 do not list the permit purpose. AGE performed an internet search on the San Joaquin County Community Development website, http://www.co.san-'oaguin.ca.us/conimdev, for Permit Manager records from 1992 to present for the subject property address(s), as well as, a book permit search of records ranging in date from 1946 to 1991.
