The
Work plan details the deconstruction of eight soil gas probes at the site.
In October 2015, DTSC approved the post-remediation soil gas sampling results and
issued a "No Further Action" letter for the site. The soil gas probes are no longer
needed at the site. The soil gas probes will be destroyed by over-drilling the probe
borehole using a direct push drill rig. The resulting borehole will be backfilled with neat
cement to the ground surface using a tremie pipe. The surface at each probe location
will be finished to match the surrounding surface. Prior to destruction, PG&E will obtain
permits from the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department. A well
destruction letter report and California Department of Water Resources well completion
report will follow the soil gas probe destruction.
DTSC hereby approves the Work plan. Please contact me at (559) 297-3907 or at
ieff.gymer(@dtsc.ca.gov if you have any questions regarding this matter.
Sincerely,
,
Jeff Gymer, P.E.
Hazardous Substances Engineer
Brownfields and Environmental Restoration Program— Clovis Office
JG:smk
JG12.1215
