It <br /> also documents itemized costs incurred by the Department of Toxic <br /> Substances Control (DTSC) ' s contractors during Phase I <br /> investigation at the Lustre-Cal, Busy Bee and Guild sites . <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> DTSC' s Phase I investigation was conducted in 1993 and 1994 . <br /> Activities involved included file review, field sampling of <br /> groundwater, sewer water, and soil gas, investigation of private <br /> wells, and development of workplans, final reports, mailing list <br /> and factsheets for distributions to the Lodi communities . Work <br /> completed by contractors are described below: <br /> URS was hired to conduct file review, well investigation, <br /> prepare workplans for proposed sampling work, oversee <br /> groundwater, soil gas and sewer sampling, and prepare final <br /> reports ; <br /> Layne Environmental Drilling (Layne) was hired to conduct <br /> groundwater sampling using their HydroPunch (HP) sampling <br /> method and equipment; <br /> Chemical Waste Management Incorporated (Chem Waste) was <br /> hired to dispose of the drill cuttings generated during <br /> groundwater sampling <br /> Vector Engineering (Vector) was hired to conduct soil gas <br /> sampling; and <br /> Booze-Allen was hired to develop mailing lists, prepare and <br /> distribute factsheets . <br /> a � <br /> .. <br /> Hm,.O-A�jw P80- <br />
