Nuel Henderson [EH]
From: Phil Goalwin [pgoalwin@e2cr.net]
Sent: Wednesday, January 15, 2014 3:43 PM
To: Nuel Henderson [EH]
Cc: 'Cervantes, Roberto@Waterboards'
Subject: Soil data and VE well completion for Busy Bee Lodi site
Attachments: ROF Tables.xls
Hi Nuell
Please find attached the soil data and well completion data that I could find.As you can see the only soil data
available was from MW-18 and MW-19.Those two wells I believe are located along Main St, south of Pine. All of
the remediation wells were straight drilled with no sample collection. All of the soil data for MW-18 and MW-19
was ND.
Just an FYI,this remediation project was essentially a groundwater-only cleanup and the vapor extraction wells
were placed with a short screened interval above the water table.Their primary purpose of the vapor extraction
wells was to capture VOC's liberated from the groundwater via air sparge. There was a single localized source
area identified at a break in the sewer line. This source area was located along the north-south trending sewer
line north of Pine St. and east of Main St.You will note that vapor wells in that area only went down to 20 feet
bgs.
You will also note that there are 4 "deep" monitoring wells at the site. These are the only wells that penetrate
the deeper portion of the upper aquifer. These wells have been, throughout their entire history, reported as ND.
They were drilled with special precautions to prevent mixing of the shallow first encountered groundwater with
the deeper part of the aquifer. They were installed using a casing advance hammer-rig and conductor casing was
installed to prevent mixing.
If you need any further information or want to discuss the project, do not hesitate to contact me at (661) 587-
0585 or via email.
Respectfully, j't_(
Phil Goalwin P.G. #4779 STc c rU'1 lCcJi a — 7,1
President
E2C Remediation U L J 77—tom'
Email secured by Check Point .4`4 o
1/16/2014
