Union Road <br /> Manteca, CA <br /> San Joaquin County Public HealthlServices, Environmental Health Division (PHSIEHD) has r <br /> reviewed the analytical results of the 4 soil samples taken at 9 to 10 feet below ground surface on <br /> June 4, 1999 at the above referenced site. Underground storage tanks (USTs)were removed <br /> from this site on June 29, 1989. Analytical results of the soil samples collected at the time of the <br /> USTs removal were never submitted to PHSIEHD as documented in the PHSIEHD letter dated <br /> September 24, 1993. The soil san�[pies collected on June 4, 1999 were from the bottom of an <br /> excavation of the former UST area' € <br /> This letter confirms the completionlof the tank removal investigation for the underground storage ; <br /> tanks#504061 and#504066 at the above site. With the provision that the information provided to <br /> this agency was accurate and representative of existing conditions, it is our position that no <br /> further action is required at this time. <br /> Please be advised that this letter does not relieve you of any liability under the California Health <br /> and Safety Code or Water Code for past, present, or future operations at the site. Nor(does it <br /> relieve you of the responsibility to clean up existing, additional or previously unidentified <br /> conditions at the site which cause or threaten to cause pollution or nuisance or otherwise pose a <br /> threat to water quality or public health. <br /> .i' <br /> Additionally, be advised that changes in the present or proposed use of the site may require <br /> further site characterization and mitigation activity.
