Benjamin Escotto [EH]
From: Benjamin Escotto [EH]
Sent: Thursday, October 6, 2016 4:25 PM
To: 'Dave Powers'
Subject: RE: Questions
Hello Dave,
I met you last year and did a waste tire inspection for Cargill Animal Nutrition. I was informed by CalRecycle
(state agency that oversees this program)that Cargill has two Tire Program ID (TPID) numbers. Each business
that generates waste tires must only have one TPID number. I do not know how or why Cargill has two
numbers. I was instructed to make a site visit and generate a report closing one of the ID numbers. Your
original ID number is 1800835-01. I will keep that number active. The duplicate ID number(and the one I will
close out) is: 1867383-01. I will email you the report stating that TPID: 1867383-01 is closed.
I recommend you inform your waste tire vendor (McCoy) of this information because they are required by law
to put the correct TPID (1800835-01) on the manifests for waste tire removal. They may not have been aware
that there was a second TPID (1867383-01) but you should inform them just in case. In other words, just make
sure that they are only using the 1800835-01 number on the tire manifests.
If you any questions, feel free to contact me. You will soon receive the report. Thanks.
Ben Escotto, Senior REHS
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department
1868 E.
