RECEIVE
August 29, 1981
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY
PLANNING DEPARTMENT
Mr. Robert Hunter
Planning Director
San Joaquin County
1810 E. Hazelton Avenue RE: EP-81-9 and EP-80-2
Stockton, California 95201 Stockton Sand and Gravel
Dear Mr. Hunter:
Although I was not able to reach you by phone today, it is important
to me to convey certain information to you regarding the above-referenced
issue.
I am not sure whether you have seen the report of August 10 submitted by
my wife and me; in the event that you haven't seen the report, a copy
is attached for your use. The report contains, among other things,
information regarding Stockton Sand and Gravel's violations of its
existing excavation permit. Although much of the information has been
confirmed by professional staff, and despite our pursuit of enforcement
with several members of the Planning Department staff, there has still
been no effective action to enforce the conditions of the permit.
For this reason I request that formal hearings for revocation of
EP-80-2 be coirrrenced. Because the status of the existing permit is
so inextricably intertwined with the issues related to the proposed new
permit, I request that the revocation hearing regarding EP-80-2 be
combined in the Board of Zoning Adjustment's Special Meeting of
September 16, 1981.
Please contact me at 209/887-3713 for further information.
Sincerely,
Roger S.
