Roy Reeves entered a no contest plea _ and was fined $500 .00 and placed on probation for three (3) years . As a condition of the probation, no similar offenses are to be committed. :P-80-1 LONE STAR INDUSTRIES The site is between Tracy Boulevard and r:acArthur Drive, south of the WPRR track, south of Tracy. This is a renewal of EP-73-5 . Since the excavator proposes' to enlarge the existing quarry by digging a lagoon, Staff is preparing an E.I .R. The excavator is continuing to rehabilitate by elevating the pit border with overburden to the elevation of the adjoining lands. The excavator then covers the rehabilitated area with stockpiled topsoil, leaving a deep ' pit in the center of the site. :P-80-2 STOCKTON SAND & GRAVEL On the Calaveras River, north one-half mile from a point on Shelton Road, one mile west of Gilmore Road. During last winter, highwater flows from the Calaveras River breached the levees of all three lagoons . These breaches are being repaired. Condition T#7 of the approval required that a minimum levee width of 50 ' be provided . The levee width is about 20 ' to 25 ' . * The excavation is now restricted to a depth no greater than summer low water . At present river flows , it is impossible to determine if the excavation conforms with this condition. The excavator is in the process of obtaining a permit for a permanent ~' bridge across the river. The existing Levees are apparently too weak and channel capacity between them is too small to contain the river during high flows. S•7itholit further enlargement or deepening of the lagoons , there does not appear to be enough material left at the site to provide adequate levees for the river. This permit expires October 11, 1984. P-80-3 PETERSON & MC GAH (Grani'ze Construction Co. ) On the west side of Tracy Boulevard, 15 , 850 ' to 21 , 120 ' south of Linne, Tracy. The excavator has dug a pit and constructed a large new gravel plant in the bottom of it . The vegetation along Route 580 has not been planted. This is to be completed by November 8, 1981. This permit expires November 8, 1984 . - -80-5 LAGUE The site is on the south side of Louise, west of the WPRR, east of Lathrop. This excavation is complete except that the road which was required has not been constructed. The applicant has applied for a time extension on this
