The
results are presented in ttie attached table for your. review. Also
enclosed is a copy of the laboratory report.
Between S H rch and 13 August 1991, approximately 1,262 pounds of
hydrocarbons and 60 pounds of benzene were removed from the soil . The
vacuum extraction module was fitted with new pulleys by our field
technicians which increased the system vacuum from 5.25" Hg to 10" Hg.
Both ambient dilution and recirculation valves are fully closed to
maximize extraction efficiency. The catalytic incinerator operating
temperature has been set at 800OF in order to insure acceptable
destruction efficiency levels in the catalytic module.
Please do not hesitate to call if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
EVAX Technolegit:s, Inc.
Shaw Garak ni
Project Engineer
cc: Mr. Harlin Knoll , San Joaquin County Environmental Health
Department
covF114.dcx
f
NINE
