Exxon initially con- <br /> tracked Groundwater Technology, Inc. (GTI) to conduct a series of <br /> subsurface investigations at the site, which were comb}le4ed <br /> ;i <br /> between December 1985 and August 1987. <br /> EA has been colitinuing the subsurface investigations at the site <br /> since November 1987, with guidance from bobs the San Joaquin <br /> } . <br /> j Local Health District, now the San Joaquin County Environmental <br /> f Health Division (SJCEHD), and RwQCB, Central Valley Region. <br /> SJCEHD has recently taken over ,as lead agency for oversight of <br /> this investigation under their ,pilot' Erogram.
