Pagel of 3
Mike Infurna [EH]
From: Toni.Pezzetti@CH2M.com
Sent: Monday, February 04, 2008 6:21 PM
To: Mike Infurna [EH]
Subject: RE: Tracy Permits
Uh-oh. Sorry about the delay and thanks for the reminder that I owed you something.
HP-8
Installed: January 18, 2008
Total depth: 25 feet(bottom split spoon 25-26.5)
Well screen: 4"sch 40 PVC 0.020 slot 13-23 ft bgs (bentonite chips 23.5-25 feet)
Sand: 23.5 to 10.5 ft. Cemex Lapis Lustre#3 Monterey sand 7 bags. Sand surged and replenished to 10.5 ft
bgs.
Fine sand: 10.5 to 10 ft. RMC#60
Bentonite chips: 1/2 bag cetgo pure gold medium chips(other 1/2 of bag used at bottom of hole), 1/2 bag baroid
3/8" hole plug. Hydrated. After 20 minutes, water still visible on top of bentonite. Began mixing cement. Water
still visible, cement emplaced about 7-8 minutes later.
Cement: Basalite type II-V, 3 1/2 bags.
Protective, locked casing installed with pad and 3 crash posts.
Just for your information -we installed the well shallower because we encountered some of the tightest clay I've
ever seen (it had to be cut off the augers and came off in intact sheets). We'd had silty clay at between 15 and
16.5 feet(where we hit water)and then went back into the tight, very dry clay. Based on the previous 2 holes, I
expected the sand below 30 feet. Because we were downgradient of the WWTP, and upgradient of Spreckles, I
went with caution.
Let me know if there's anything else. The wells have not been developed yet because it has been too wet. That
is scheduled for February 19.
Thanks again.
Toni
From: Mike Infurna [EH] [mailto:MInfurna@sjcehd.com]
Sent: February 04, 2008 1:12 PM
To: Pezzetti,Toni/SAC
Subject: FW: Tracy Permits
I still need the well specs...
the money for field inspections I saved you is building up on these 'correspondence'emails.
From: Mike Infurna [EH]
Sent: Thursday, January 31, 2008 11:24 AM
To: Toni.Pezzetti@CH2M.com'
Subject: FW: Tracy Permits
Toni,
please get me the well construction specs for the last well you placed.
From: Mike Infurna [EH]
Sent: Wednesday, January 02, 2008 1:00 PM
2/5/2008
