.. <br /> MONITORING AND REPORTING PROGRAM <br /> CITY OF TRACY <br /> WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT <br /> SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY -3- <br /> In addition, the flow of Old River shall be measured in cubic feet per second <br /> upstream of the discharge point on continuous basis. The flow shall be <br /> reported as maximum, minimum, and average daily flows for each day. Daily <br /> duration of flows in Old River to the east and period of stagnation shall also <br /> be reported. <br /> In conducting the receiving water sampling, a log shall be kept of the <br /> receiving water conditions throughout the reach bounded by Stations R-1 and <br /> R-2. Attention shall be given to the presence or absence of: <br /> a. Floating or suspended matter c. Bottom deposits <br /> b. Discoloration d. Aquatic life <br /> Notes on receiving water conditions shall be summarized in the monitoring <br /> report. <br /> SLUDGE MONITORING <br /> A composite sample of sludge shall be collected annually in accordance with <br /> EPA's POTW Sludge Sampling and Analysis Guidance Document, August 1989, and <br /> tested for the following metals: <br /> Cadmium, Chromium, Copper, Lead, Nickel , and Zinc <br /> Results shall be reported in terms of mg/kg dry weight. Sampling records <br /> shall be retained for a minimum of five years. A log shall be kept of sludge <br /> quantities generated and handling and disposal activities. The frequency of <br /> entries is discretionary; however, the log should be complete enough to serve <br /> as a basis of the annual report. <br /> WATER SUPPLY MONITORING <br /> A sampling station shall be established where a representative sample of the <br /> municipal water supply can be obtained. The following shall constitute the <br /> water supply monitoring program: <br /> Sampling <br /> Constituents Units Frequency <br /> Standard Minerals mg/l Yearly at same time <br /> as effluent samples <br /> Specific Conductivity µmhos/cm Yearly at same time <br /> @ 25°C as effluent samples <br /> Total Dissolved Solids mg/l Yearly at same time <br /> as effluent samples <br />
