i
i
i
Page 2,City of Tracy
3900 Holly Drive-Wastewater Treatment Plant; this was the site of a former diesel tank used to
power a generator. The preliminaryinvestigatiori reported total petroleum hydrocarbon as
diesel (TPHd) contamination in each of four grab groundwater samples, but all soil samples
were reported non-detect. A work plan for a second Geoprobe investigation will we submitted to
confirm, and/or document declining trends in, the contaminant concentrations in groundwater.
560 Tracy Blvd- 'Boyd Service Center; three UST's were removed from this site, one contained
diesel fuel, two contained gasoline. The preliminary investigation reported contamination in
both soil and grab groundwater samples. The City of Tracy will submit a work plan to install
additional borings and groundwater monitoring wells needed to confirm the initial reported
contamination. This site isY located near a former bulk oil storage facility, therefore analysis
should be limited to TPH as gasoline, TPHd, benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylenes, ethylene
dibromide, 1,2-dichloroethane and fuel oxygenates.
29633 S. Tracy Blvd- Tracy Municipal Airport; two UST's were removed from this site in 1998.
Soil samples collected from the bottom of the tank excavation were reported non-detect for all
constituents analyzed. However, contamination was reported in one piping line sample and
several stockpile samples, and the stockpile was subsequently returned to the tank excavation.
The City of Tracy will submit a work plan to conduct an initialsiteinvestigation to collect
confirmation soil samples near the piping sample and in the former tank excavation.
The City of Tracy agreed to submit the work plans within 60 days from the date of the meeting.
Funds to conduct the required investigations will be appropriated in the next fiscal budget, July
2008, and field work will begin in August 2008.
If you have any questions, comments or additions to the above meeting summary please call
Lori Duncan at(209) 468-0337.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health Department
I
Lori Duncan, Senior REHS Margare Lagorio, REHS
LOP/Site Mitigation Unit IV Program Coordinator, Unit IV
cc: Jim Barton, CVRWQCB
John Lynch, Wright Environmental
Rosaia, D + NC trs, etal., PO Box 274 Tracy 95378
