The City of Tracy Public Works Department is the listed Responsible
Party to all three sites, and was given specific directives regarding the site investigations
required at each site in separate correspondences dated August 15, 2001.
Due to the City of Tracy's lack of response to the directives, SJC/EHD has established the
following schedule for completion of the respective.site investigations.
1. Cage-N-Play, 68 E. Eleventh St.-
This
t.This site in on the State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) list of sites
that have not completed testing for methyl tertiary butyl ether(MtBE). This fact
makes this a priority site. A work plan to begin the site investigation was
approved by SJC/EHD on September 25, 1997, and a Letter of Commitment for
funding was received from the SWRCB Cleanup Fund on April 27, 1998. The
deadline for implementation of this work plan is May 3, 2002. A report of findings
documenting the investigation is due for submittal within 60-days following com-
pletion of the fieldwork.
2. Delta Disposal, 99 W. Sixth St.
This site also has not had analytical results from MtBE testing submitted to the
SWRCB and therefore is a priority site. A work plan to begin the site investi-
gation was conditionally approved by SJC/EHD on May 6, 1998. The deadline
for implementation of this work plan is May 10, 2002. A report of findings
documenting the investigation is due for submittal within 60-days following com-
pletion of the fieldwork.
3. Wastewater Treatment Plant, 3900 Holly Drive.
This site had one diesel fuel tank only and therefore does not require testing for
MtBE. A work plan to begin the site investigation was approved by SJC/EHD on
October 5, 2001 and was conditioned for implementation by Septenrber 5, 2001.
The new deadline for implementation of the approved work plan is June 14,
2002. A report of findings documenting the investigation is due for submittal
within 60 days following completion of the fieldwork.
