Soil Suitability/ Nitrate Loading Study Irerracon
Betschart Property Lodi, CA
July 19, 2019 Terracon Project No. NA197044
Based on a review of the historical information, the site appeared to consist of undeveloped land
in the 1890s and early 1900s and was developed with agricultural row crops and/or vineyards
from as early as the 1930s through 2015 when the vineyards were removed and the land
remained vacant to the present.
1.3 Existing and Proposed Septic Tank Usage
1.3.1 Existing On-Site Septic Tank Usage
There are no septic tanks currently located on the site.
1.3.2 Site Specific Permit History
Based on a review of the EHD Public Records website, there were no permits available for the
site address.
1.3.3 Discussion of On-Site Septic Tank Repair
There were no septic repair permits available for the site address.
1.3.4 Existing Septic Tank Usage in the Vicinity
In an attempt to determine the septic system density for the vicinity of the site, our office reviewed
a recent aerial photograph of the property available from GoogleEarthTm. The vicinity of the site
consists of agriculutural land and rural residences. The assumption was made that each
building/cluster of buildings has one septic system. Using this method, we determined there are
approximately 7 septic systems within 0.25 miles of the site.
1.3.5 Septic Permit History in the Vicinity
Terracon searched the EHD Public Records website for the adjoining property septic permits. The
following table is a summary of septic permits available for the adjacent and nearby properties:
Table 2.
Summary of Adjoining Property Septic Permits.
Leach #Seepage
Direction Address Permit# Type Tank Size Leach Line Line Pits/Sumps,
(Gallons) Quantity Length Width,Length,
(Feet) Depth(Feet)
North
9399 Schmiedt Rd NF --- --- --- —
9401 Schmiedt Rd NF -- — — --
Northwest 19102 N.
