Kith, Michael
From: Kith, Michael
Sent: Friday, April 26, 2019 3:56 PM
To: johnglick@quartaroli.com'
Cc: Shih, Steven; Christine Luckasen
Subject: FW: PA-1900030 (American Crane)
Attachments: Xerox Scan 04052019163333.PDF
Mr. Glick,
The soil suitability/nitrate loading study(SS/NL), submitted to EHD on July 23, 2012 for land use application PA-
1200153(GP) and PA-1200154(ZR) with a truck/mobile crane parking facility as an underlying project, does not satisfy
the EHD COA for the current application PA-1900030 for the following reasons:
1. The 2012 SS/NL study was for the project with 33 people (31 employees and 2 customers).
2. The current project has 38 people (35 employees and 3 customers).
3. The preliminary NL calculation shows potential impact from the 38 people.
4. The OWTS requirement has changed.
5. The water sampling results for CSA 30 water well show increase in concentration of Nitrate-N over half the
MCL; it triggered the increase in well monitoring frequency. That indicates the water well has been
impacted.
Please submit SS/NL study for the current project. If you have questions please contact me at 209-468-3444.
Michael Kith, REHS
Program Coordinator
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department
1868 E.
