The SSNL does not provide sufficient
information to indicate the area is suitable for the OWTS usage for the proposed project, pursuant to
San Joaquin County Ordinance Code Title 9, Section 9-1105.2(d), as noted below.
• The nitrate loading study assumed wastewater generated for 1 cow was approximated to be equivalent
to 8 dogs which equals 80 gallons per day. Per EHD wastewater flow cattle are expected to generate
wastewater of 150 gallons per day. Should the total wastewater volume generated for the parcel
exceed 10,000 gallons, approval from the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board must
be obtained. Please provide a nitrate loading evaluation using the cumulative wastewater volume and
nitrate contribution from all sources for the parcel. Provide supportive data and or reasoning for the
average annual rainfall recharge rate value used in the study.
• The Ag Complex is proposed to be connected to the existing Small Public Water System. This action
will require a permit amendment application be submitted to the EHD prior to occupancy. Please
contact Robert McClellon, REHS, Program Coordinator, at (209) 468-0332 or mmcclellon(a-)_sigov.org
for more information.
If you have any questions please contact Michael Kith, REHS, Program Coordinator, at (209) 468-3444 or
mkith(a_slgov.orq.
M chael Kith, REHS
Program Coordinator
c: Kleinfelder
1868 E.
