Dahlin Ave, Escalon
Service Request SR0080262
The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) has received the Soil
Suitability/Nitrate Loading (SSNL) Study, dated February 25, 2019, and the three Addendums, dated
March 14, 2019 and March 15, 2019, and has the following comments for your consideration.
The SSNL Study was prepared to satisfy the conditions of approval for PA-1800194, an application
for minor subdivision. The initial SSNL Study included a nitrate loading estimate for the existing 3-
bedroom single family dwelling and a potential future second unit dwelling for Parcel 2 as well as
two additional potential future homes on Parcel 1, the designated remainder parcel. The scope of
the Third Addendum to the SSNL was amended to provide a nitrate loading estimate for the existing
home on Parcel 2 only by amending the Hantzche and Finnemore equation inputs to include local
rainfall recharge data and post-subdivision parcel size for Parcel 2.
Based on the information provided, the EHD finds that the SSNL Study, as amended in the Third
Addendum, supports the suitability for OWTS usage for Parcel 2 for the existing home pursuant to
San Joaquin County Ordinance Code Title 9, Section 9-1105.2 (d).
Please contact Michael Kith, REHS, at (209) 468-3444 or mkithl Dsicehd.com if you have any
questions.
Mi hael Kith, REHS
Program Coordinator
c: Joe Bavaro
1868 E.
