TT <br /> openings: <br /> If your fiberglass coated tank has removable, i <br /> 'screw-in' type lifting lugs, remove lifting lug and treat <br /> as an unused opening. Any unused threaded UNUSED OPENING <br /> opening, shall have a metal pipe plug property doped <br /> and securely installed in the opening. Rough up the -77 <br /> area around the threaded opening with sandpaper. Tei : <br /> Mix resin and saturate fiberglass mat. Place the <br /> saturated mat over the unused opening and apply SANDED AREA <br /> j additional resin, dabbing the mat into place. <br /> 7.0 Lug covers for permanent lifting lugs attachments: <br /> If your fiberglass coated tank has permanently welded APPLY SEALANT TO PRESS DOWN <br /> lifting lugs, then your kit will include non-metallic lifting UNDERNEATH FIRMLY <br /> lug covers and a tube of sealant. Install lug covers SIDE OF LUG <br /> over lifting lugs per the following instructions. COVER <br /> Rough up area around the permanently affixed j 1 <br /> lifting lug. Apply the sealant to the undemeath side of ?'1 <br /> the lug cover and place lug cover over the lifting SANDED` a. -- <br /> lug. Push lug cover down firmly until sealant �� <br /> protrudes out around the perimeter of the lug cover. <br /> APPLY ANY EXTRA <br /> Apply any extra sealant to outside edges of the lug SEALANT TO OUTSIDE EDGE <br /> cover to assure a moisture tight seal. OF LUG COVER TO ASSURE I <br /> Allow at least two(2) hours for sealant to cure before A MOISTURE TIGHT SEAL <br /> backfilling over lug covers. Care should be exercised <br /> j not to hit or damage lug covers during the backfilling <br /> operation. <br /> Z <br /> CLEAN PIPE j <br /> SII i <br /> I <br /> PRECUT MAT <br /> 8.0 Pipe connection covers: <br /> 1 <br /> Sand areas where matting is to be placed on tank and <br /> piping. Saturate matting with resin and place mat <br /> around pipe as shown in illustration. <br /> SANDED AREA <br /> Dab mat into place with additional resin if required. <br /> Saturate 1"wide fiberglass strips,starting at the base <br /> of the pipe,wrap the fiberglass strip around the pipe, <br /> lapping the mat 1/2 its width, see illustration. 1'MAT STRIP <br /> I <br /> I <br /> Note.
