12) Violation #999 — Waste pharmaceuticals are not being transported pursuant <br />to 118000 HSC or treated pursuant to 118215 HSC prior to disposal. <br />a. Rite Aid has been working with Strong Environmental a national waste <br />hauler to review waste streams from several of its pharmacies including <br />the one in Store #5996. <br />i. A pilot program that includes all Rite Aid locations in San <br />Joaquin County has been implemented as of April 1, 2011. <br />ii. Enclosed as Exhibit H is the Pharmacy SOP for Special P -Listed <br />Waste Trash Handling that all stores are trained on. <br />13) Violation #999 — Sharps containers ready for disposal are not being stored <br />pursuant to 118285 HSC. <br />a. Any sharps containers that are present are due to the immunization <br />program that Rite Aid offers. The sharps containers are from Sharps <br />Compliance and are part of a mail back program. <br />i.
