3.8 Liquor and Wine <br /> HazardousRetail <br /> Liquor and Wine <br /> For any unsaleable liquor or wine items a"Liquor Destroy at Store' <br /> transfer label must be used, <br /> •Any liquor items that contain alcohol less <br /> than or equal to 24%or 50 proof can be <br /> destroyed at the store. <br /> •Any liquor items that contain alcohol <br /> greater than 24%or greater than 50 proof <br /> must be processed as hazardous waste, <br /> •Liquor is not valid for return to the distribution center. Items must <br /> be destroyed at the stare <br /> •Use caution and Personal Protective Equipment(PPE)when <br /> handling broken liquor and wine bottles. <br /> •Use additional absorbent pads to wrap broken bottles to protect <br /> associates from glass,and double bag the item where free liquid is <br /> Present. <br /> Notes: <br /> For any unsaleable liquor or wine items a"Liquor Destroy at store"transfer label must be used. <br /> • Any liquor items that contain alcohol less than or equal to 24%or 50 proof can be destroyed at the store. <br /> • Any liquor items that contain alcohol greater than 24x/0 or greater than 50 proof must be processed as hazardous waste. <br /> • Liquor is not valid for return to the distribution center.
