Your request for discharge on a continuous basis as specified in 'your
application is hereby denied.
Groundwater containing source concentrations of Tetrachloroethene (PCE) and
Trichloroethene (TCE) is prohibited from discharge to the sanitary sewer system on a
continuous pump and treat basis. Discharge of groundwater containing these
constituents will be considered for approval using a batch treat, test, and release
system only. I will reconsider your request for discharge if an amended application is
submitted indicating such. Otherwise, an alternative disposalmethod other than
sanitary sewer discharge or in-situ treatment may be necessary to remediate the
groundwater from this site.
If you have any questions regarding this matter, please contact Richard K.
