EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Upgradient Environmental Consultants visited the Valley Motors dealership on September 28 to
measure water depths and collect groundwater samples from the six on-site wells The depth to
groundwater is several inches more than it was in June, and now averages 32 feet below grade
Depth measurements indicate that groundwater continues to flow to the east or northeast
After measuring the depth to groundwater, the wells were purged with a submersible groundwater
pump and water samples were collected with disposable Teflon bailers, poured into 40-m1 vials and
preserved for laboratory analysis Five samples were collected and analyzed for TPH-gasoline using
EPA method 602 and for BTEX using EPA method 8020
Hydrocarbon concentrations stabilized in VM-I during the quarter and were close to those
measured in June Some analytes increased in concentration and others decreased in two of the
wells(VM-3 and VM-4),while most analytes increased in VM-2 and SW-1 The results thus
suggest a sort of"sloshing"effect within the aquifer, with no net changes in concentration or
significant movement in the contaminant plume
On July 27, Warren Gomes Excavating mobilized a vacuum truck to the site and collected
approximately 350 gallons of purged groundwater The water had been collected over a period of
several years, and was stored in 55-gallon drums in the southwest corner of the site The water was
transported to In-Strat, Inc , a licensed water treatment facility in Davis, California, where it was
treated and disposed of
I
