a) Enhanced Bioremediation
b) Soil Vapor Extraction (SVE)
c) SVE in conjunction with Air Sparging for groundwater treatment
3) A Site Receptor Survey This would involve contacting utility companies, government
agencies, and perhaps local businesses to obtain information about any potential
contaminant receptors (sewer lines, wells, etc ) within 2000 feet of the site
In addition, in a letter dated March 9, 1999, PHS/EHD requested Valley Motors to submit a work
plan to define the extent of groundwater contamination in the site area The existing; data are
sufficient to define the extent of contamination on the Valley Motors property, but the data also
indicate that groundwater contamination extends off site to the west (beneath Grant Street) and
off site to the north (toward Main Street) The limits of contamination in these directions are
unknown, and meeting the PHS/EHD request would require installing two additional
groundwater monitoring wells, both of which would be located off site
i
• 5
