EXECUTIVE SUMMARY <br /> • Groundwater samples were collected from seven of the eight monitoring wells on January 26, 2004 <br /> g g <br /> One well was dry and could not be sampled Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons in the gasoline range <br /> were detected in all seven samples, and benzene and/or other aromatic compounds were detected in <br /> sax Concentrations were similar to those detected in September 2003, and isocontour mapping of <br /> the extent of results confirms the map of the groundwater plume that was presented in the October <br /> 2004 Problem Assessment Report and Soil Remediation Plan <br /> I <br /> The elevation of the water table is approximately 21 feet below sea level, essentially the same as it <br /> was when the site was monitored in the fourth quarter of 2003 and about 1 foot deeper than at the <br /> end of 2002 The groundwater flow direction remains to the east <br /> Upgradient Environmental has submitted an Application to Construct and Operate a soil vapor <br /> extraction system for the remediation of soil contamination at the site A vapor extraction unit has <br /> been located and will be mobilized to the site during the second quarter of 2004 <br /> i � 1 <br />
