i HJL o.P
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY
ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH DIVISIONf `
Karen Furst, M.D., M.P.H., Health Officer c.
q;
304 East Weber Avenue, Third Floor • Stockton, CA 95202 F O.R
209/468-3420
September 29, 1997
TO: San Joaquin County Community Development
Department
FROM: Public Health Services
Environmental Health Division
CONTACT PERSON: Carol Oz, Senior R.E.H.S.
PHONE NUMBER: (209) 468-3440
RE: SA-88-51, Attention Chandler Martin
3625 North Wilcox Road, Stockton
Environmental Health Division is not in support of the request to change
from wholesale warehousing operation to "warehousing and other or related
business"; nor is Environmental Health Division in support of deleting Planning
Division condition no. 3 which states "Tenants in the proposed building shall be
limited to whole-sale warehousing operation." Due to the existing septic system
on site being designed for warehouse operation use only and insufficiently
designed for excessive (potential and unknown business uses); and due to the
fact that contamination of soils and water aquifers from unauthorized hazardous
waste releases to the ground via septic systems has occurred in other light
industrial zoned areas in the county, Environmental Health denies this
application.
A Division of San Joaquin Countv Health Care Services
