o Instruct customers to move out of the area and <br /> restrict access to the area using delineator <br /> poles. <br /> o Place absorbent on the spill to prevent product <br /> from migrating to other areas. <br /> o Sweep up used absorbent and place in <br /> hazardous solid waste drum. Ensure that <br /> waste drum is properly labeled and secure. <br /> o Report spill by phone to Elite Customer <br /> Solutions. <br /> o Notify Site Manager. <br /> o Document the release on the Spill Log and <br /> place behind the Spill Log tab in the Orange <br /> Binder. <br /> 2.2.3 Spill is a Major Spill if it goes offsite, into a catch basin or <br /> waterway, or is not manageable by onsite personnel. <br /> o Shut down turbine/pump at emergency shut-off <br /> switch or main electrical panel, if necessary. <br /> o Ensure turbine/pump have been shut down. <br /> o Evacuate, if necessary. <br /> o Immediately contact the emergency authorities <br /> (call 911). <br /> o Place absorbent on the spill to prevent product <br /> from migrating to other areas, if safe to do so. <br /> o Immediately contact Elite Customer Solutions. <br /> o Immediately contact your Site Manager and <br /> CAE. <br /> o Document release on the Spill Log and place <br /> behind the Spill Log tab in the Orange Binder. <br /> 2.2.4 Attempt to obtain customer information (Insurance, Name, <br /> Address, and Contact Information). <br /> 2.2.5 Place dispenser out-of-service for repair. <br /> 2.2.6 Call Elite Customer Solutions and provide details of <br /> dispenser damage and request that a vendor be <br /> dispatched to check dispenser and piping system. <br /> 2.2.7 Notify Site Manager. <br /> September 2007 Page 5 of 5 520—Release Response& Reporting <br />
