CAMBRIA
in Cambria's November 11, 1997 Site Investigation Report/Quarterly Monitoring Report —
Fourth Quarter 1997
During May 2000, Cambria drilled two cone penetration test borings and during November 2001,
installed groundwater monitonng wells MW-10 and MW-11 Proposed wells MW-8 and MW-9
could not be installed at the original proposed locations due to the presence of utilities The
results of this investigation are presented in Cambria's Fourth Quarter 2001 Groundwater
Monitoring/Sate Investigation Report and Receptor Survey,dated January 11, 2002
I
To obtain additional data east of the site, Cambria completed the previously proposed scope of
work by installing wells MW-8 and MW-9 The results of these activities are presented below
INVESTIGATION RESULTS
Personnel Present Cambria geologist Geno Mammini directed the field sampling,
working under the supervision of California Registered
Geologist Joe Neely
• Permit Pernut No 0025419 was obtained from SJCEHD (Appendix A)
Drilling Companies Gregg Drilling, Inc of Martinez, California (C57 License
Nos 485165)
Drilling Dates• August 16, 2002
Drilling Methods 8-inch hollow-stem augers(HSA)
Soil Sampling Methods Bonngs were logged using the Unified Soil CIassification
System and Munsell Soil Color Charts Soil samples were
collected at five-foot intervals for soil description, potential
chemical analysis, and headspace analysis Soil samples were
screened for the presence of organic vapors Ausing a
photo-ionization detector (PID) The PID readings are recorded
on the boring logs (Appendix B)
Number of Borings Two HSA well borings (MW-8 and MW-9) Boring
. specifications are described in Table I and locations are shown
on Figure 2
0854 3
