The site was presented to the
PHS/EHD Technical Review Committee (TRC) on September 22, 1993rand PHS/EHD has the following
comments for your consideration.
i
Prior to evaluating the site for closure or further remediation, additional:linformation was requested by the
TRC. Specifically, in order to determine the extent of residual contamination which was evidenced during the
installation of MW2 and MW3,the TRC recommends drilling and saopling`two additional soil borings. These
borings should be sampled at minimum at 2.5 feet intervals, 12.5 feet, 15 feet, 17.5 feet and at 20 feet. The
information obtained from this investigation will determine if additional re" ediation is necessary or if closure
is warranted.
Please submit a work plan to complete the investigation by November 15, 1993. 'Am additional quarterly
sampling of monitoring wells, MW2 and MW3,will also be necessary prior to closure evaluation.
k If you have any questions, comments,or wish to schedule a sampling inspection, please contact Mary Meays,
Senior REHS, of my staff at (209) 468-0337.
Jogi Khanna, M.D., M.P.H.
ealth Officer ;
Donna Heran, REHS, Program Manager '
Environmental Health Division
LAC/MM/1149WW
c: Elizabeth Thayer, CVRWQCB
f c: John Urrutia, Bank of Stockton
c: Bob Girabaldi, San Joaquin Beverage Company
I' c: Victor Cherven, Geological Audit
A Division of San Joaquin County health Care Ser"ces
