No
contamination was detected at that time. Samples were also
collected from the excavated soil (samples SSP;-Ai, 12, A3, A4; BSP-
1 a1, B2; and BSP-C1, C2) ; again, benzene was nat defected.
Subsequently, DdW-2 and MW-3 Were drilled No benzeine was detected '
at a depth of :10 feet, but a concentration of 33 :ippb (detection
limit 5 ppb) was detected at 15 feet in MW-2. This depth is
approximately i feet below both the mean }depth 'to ,groundwater and
the depth at which the confirmatory soil samples hard been collected
from the excavation sidewalls. It is 2 1f'eet- be°lq+ the depth at
which the first soil samples were collected from b0heath the UST's C
by Sequoia Analytical in April 1991, and whiII contained 32, 10,
and 26 ppb benzene. 1
{
f . 1
Full Spectrum Environmental SeMcBs Hydrogeology
.A
!
t
I
7 iE
