Box 2009 <br /> Stockton, CA 95201 <br /> Subject: Babka nistributing 11 9 :c:::t l Heber Street <br /> Stockton, California <br /> i <br /> Dear Ms. Meays: <br /> we have received your letter dated 27 August 1992 concerning the <br /> "Preliminary Investigation and Evaluation Report" (PIER) submitted <br /> to, the SJ PHS/EHD on 17 July 1992 . Ini your letter, you stated <br /> several items that were missing or unclearin the PIER report. <br /> Addressing your concerns in the same order, , e have prepared this <br /> reply to the concerns in your letter: <br /> 1) The water that seeped into the open excavation was vacuum <br /> pumped .by Falcon Energy Associates (F'Ewhile being retained <br /> by the Bank of Stockton. FEA is no longdr contracting on this <br /> project. I spoke with Mr. Jim Hoblizell of FEA and requested <br /> that you be provided with the appraprialte documentation. Any <br /> further discussions co.acerning thisImatter should be directed <br /> to FEA. <br /> 2) Alpha Analytical Laboratories and WEST laboratory generally do <br /> not include the QA/QC data sheets with the reports provided to <br /> their clients. However, at your request, we obtained copies of <br /> the QA/QC data sheet for the referenced project. According to <br /> GeoAudit records, the data sheets were sent to your office on <br /> 19 August 1992 . An additional copy cif the data sheets and the <br /> accompanying cover letter are includ6d. 6A/QC data sheets will <br /> be included in all future reports on this project. <br /> 3) Purge records will be included in all quarterly reports in the <br /> future. We will also provide tide! tables for the date of <br /> 1.sampling in the reports. At your request we can also provide <br /> the purge records for the initial sampling. <br /> 4) The soil samples <br /> from the borings �jconverted to monitoring <br /> wells on 15 May 1992 did undergo ana,lysi�s for total lead. The <br /> lead analysis were not include in Table 3of the PIER report <br /> but were included in the laboratory (report in Appendix B (the <br /> highest concentration of total leadidetected was 6 mg/kg) . <br /> 5) A second round of water sampling will be scheduled as soon as <br /> authorization is received from the Bank of Stockton. <br /> Environmental Services•Hydrogeology•Geotechnical Services <br />
