UNION ICE COMPANY 1320 West Weber Avenue ' Stockton, California Quarterly Sampling Report - October, 1992 Site Code !#1283 I NARRATIVE On October 14, 1992, WHF Environmental Consultants, Inc , in conjunction with HKM, Inc , conducted field measurements along with well pumping and sampling on 10 groundwater monitoring wells located at this site. iGround water elevations were taken from ten wells prior to pumping (Table 1) Each well was evacuated by means of a steam cleaned, stainless steel bladder-type pump At least 3 well volumes were pumped from each well During the 3 volume pump down of ' each well, samples were collected to measure the field pH, electrical conductivity and temperature Once stability was achieved and a minimum of 3 well volumes were removed, the samples were collected with a steam cleaned, polyethylene disposable bailer The samples were then labeled and placed in an ice chest cooled with blue ice and crushed ice. ' The samples were then logged on a Chain of Custody and transported to Geo Monitor Laboratories, a State certified laboratory in Hesperia, California. The analysis ' requested for the 10 water samples was EPA method 602 for purgeable aromatic hydrocarbons (BTX&E) and method 5030/LUFT for total petroleum hydrocarbons- gasoline The analytes and concentrations detected are listed in Table 3 of this report ' On October 24 1992, a second set of water level measurements was taken from the Iwells The ground water elevations noted in this quarter's measurements are referenced on the ' groundwater chart in Tables 1&2 of this report The ground water gradient is still in the southeast direction The ground water measurement from MW-1 on 10/14/92 was not used in the calculation of gradient since it appeared to have been incorrectly recorded Also, the measurement from MW-4S on 10124192, since the water level was consistent with MW-41) and not MW-4S 1
