We believe that
it is important to clarify numerous issues that we presented to San Joaquin
County Public Health Services/Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD)
during our meeting of December 18, 1992. Following is a summary of the
information presented to you during that meeting. We conclude this letter
with a discussion of future activities that we propose to conduct at the site.
FORMER TANK SITE #1
Attachment A shows the figures and tables for Former Tank Site #1 (Site #1)
that we presented to you during our December 18, 1992 meeting. The display
consists of a groundwater elevation map; two maps showing maximum
concentrations of TPH as Gasoline (TPH-G), and Benzene measured in soils
and groundwater, respectively; a geologic cross section; and summarized
groundwater monitoring data.
Soils
Soils at Site #1 have been the subject of investigation activities during three
different periods of time, beginning in 1988. Soil has been characterized by
the analysis of data obtained from the tank pit excavation, two soil-gas survey
points, three soil borings, and the installation of two groundwater
monitoring wells.
l W
A Member of the Environmental "
Resources Management Group
