 BRM-West,Inc.
RECEIVW 1777 Botelho Drive
Suite 260
February 15, 1996FEB 16 , Walnut Creek, CA 94596
(510)946-0455
ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH
(510)946-9968(Pax)
PERMIT SERVICES
Ms. Mary Meays
Senior REHS
San Joaquin County Public Health Services
Environmental Health Division
445 North San Joaquin Street
Stockton, California 95201
Subject: 4th Quarter 1995 Ground Water ERM
Monitoring Event
1325 & 1515 West Weber Avenue
Stockton, California
Dear Ms. Meays:
On behalf of Catellus Development Corporation (Catellus), ERM-West, Inc., is
pleased to submit this letter summarizing the results of the 4th quarter 1995
monitoring event recently conducted at Catellus' properties at 1325 and 1515
West Weber Avenue in Stockton, California. This monitoring event was
performed on November 1st and 2nd, 1995, in accordance with discussions at a
meeting between Catellus and San Joaquin County Public Health Services
Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD) on 9/7/95, and as documented in
the 9/22/95 letter. Field activities included measuring water levels at all 10
onsite wells, and purging and sampling S wells previously installed on site
(MW-1A, -2A, -3A, 4A, -5A, -1, -4, and -5). Field notes show that water levels
and total depths were measured between approximately 10:30am and 11:OOam
on 11/1/95.
Samples from the eight monitoring wells were submitted for analysis for
TPH(gasoline) by USEPA Method 5015 modified and for BTEX compounds
using USEPA Method 8020. In addition, samples collected from two wells,
located near Tank Site #2 (MW-1A and MW-2A) were analyzed for TPH(diesel).
Samples collected from the other wells near Tank Site #2 were not analyzed for
diesel because historical data collected between April 1992 and February 1995
indicate that diesel has never been detected at these locations. Diesel was not
sampled near Tank Site #1 because the removed tank is not known to have
contained diesel during its period of use.
The results of this sampling event are consistent with results from previous
sampling rounds. TPH(gasoline) and BTEX were detected in three wells
(MW-IA, MW-2A, and MW-5) and TPH(diesel) was detected in MW-1A and
MW-2A. Detected concentrations were similar to previous detections. As in
previous sampling events, the other wells sampled during this monitoring
A member of the Environmental
Resources Management Group
