PHS/EHD has the following comments for your
consideration.
The proposal included periodic groundwater extraction to be followed with two quarters of
groundwater monitoring events. The groundwater extracted will be temporarily stored in
Baker tanks on site until transport to the City of Stockton, Publicly Owned Treatment
Works/Wastewater Treatment Plant via vacuum trucks. PHS/EHD concurs with the
proposal which will be initiated May 1994 through February 1995. Following completion of
the periodic extraction events,PHS/EHD will evaluate the necessity to continue groundwater
remediation. Please submit approval and receipts from the City of Stockton for groundwater
disposal.
If you have any comments or questions, please contact Mary Meays, Senior REHS, of my
staff at (209) 937-9708.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health Division
Mary Meays, Senior REHS Diane son, REHS
Site Mitigation Unit Supervisor
MK1325WW
c: Elizabeth Thayer, CVRWQCB
c: Kimberly Brandt, Catellus Development
c: Jill Quillin, ERM-West
A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services
