Ground water was
r'
encountered during the sampling, therefore, a sample of the water in the excavation was
collected. The samples were collected and analyzed by FGL Environmental. Chemical
analysis of the soil and water Samples detected the presence of benzene, toluene,
at concentrations
ethylbenzene, xylene (BTEX), and total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH)
typically requiring regulatory response. Total lead, which i5 a constituent of leaded
/kg,which appears to be within the range of normal
gasoline, was detected in sail at 6 mg
ad also was detected in the water sample at 2.6 mg/1
background sail concentrations. Le
-
t-^,. Ethylene dibromide (EDB), another gasoline constituent, was not detected in these
orting limits. The analytical results for these
samples at or above the laboratory rep
.. samples are included in Appendix A.
t .!
Based on these results, EHJ Construction,Inc., acting as an agent for the property owner,
' contracted with Kleinfelder to assess the extent of contamination
} I
1'r9
9
r
FIS-90-101 2
d a cowisht i990 xteinfetder, inc.
1=1 woman Noj
