• SWIS (Calitormloolid Waste Information System). Svdl contains information on
the location and operation of active and inactive landfills. A one-half(1/2)mile radius
check of the project for sites listed on the SWIS identified no sites.
• LUST (California listed-Leaking Underground Storage Tank). The LUST report
contains all LUST sites within a 1/2 mile radius. Review of the report of registered
active Lust's for the state of California identified no site within the search radius.
Review of the 1994 (latest data available)active and inactive underground tank sites
identified one active site within the 0.10 of a mile search radius.
• All other databases reviewed identified no facilities on the subject property or adjacent
properties.
5.0 SITE SURVEY
M.G. Nelson PhD conducted an on-site Phase I Environmental Assessment of the property
located at 10122 West Lane, Stockton, California on July 23, 2002. The assessment
consisted of a records review and visual observation of the site and surrounding areas.
For views of the site and surrounding areas see the photographs in the appendix.
5.1 Hazardous Substances in Connection with Identified Uses
Asbestos-containing materials(ACM)
• None noted. Vacant land.
Urea formaldehyde foam insulation
• None noted. Vacant land.
Radon gas
• A radon survey was not conducted at the Site. Radon occurs naturally and randomly
in geographic settings. The California Department of Health Services (CDHS)
conducted a statewide radon survey during 1990-1991 that entailed testing for radon
in homes in designated geographic areas_ The Site is in the San Joaquin County and
according to this survey Radon concentrations detected averaged 2.2 pico curies per
liter. This compares favorably to the Environmental Protection Agency(EPA)safety
standard for radon gas. Radon is not considered an issue for the Site.
Facility storage tanks (above or below ground)
• None noted. Vacant land. ` -O✓'G
A
1;
