SECTION 1
INTRODUCTION
This document is a work plan for additional soil and ground water
investigation of Former Underground Storage Tank (UST) Site #2
located at 1325 West Weber Avenue, Stockton, California (San Joaquin
County) (Figure 1). The UST was situated adjacent to an active
warehousing facility at 1325 West Weber Avenue and was removed in
1991 The facility is currently occupied by Graphic Contractors
The purpose of this investigation is to determine the lateral extent of
petroleum, hydrocarbons (Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons as Gasoline
(TPH-G) and Diesel (TPH-D)), and related constituents (Benzene,
Toluene, Ethyl benzene and Xylene (BTEX)) in the soil and ground
water to the north and east of the tank excavation. ERM-West, Inc
(ERM) conducted an investigation of the site in 1992 and found
elevated levels of these constituents in soil and ground water at MW-
1A (north of the UST excavation) and in soil at MW-3A (east of the
UST excavation) (Figure 1). Further investigative work is required to
(1) delineate the lateral extent of these petroleum compounds to the
north and east, and (2) evaluate potential remedial alternatives, if
required
The results of this work will be incorporated in to a Problem
Assessment Report (PAR) that will be developed for the site in May
1993 The PAR will be the basis for evaluating remedial alternatives, if
required
Section 2 describes the details of the investigation activities Section 3
outlines the reporting of the project activities and results. Section 4
contains the health and safety plan for the investigation
I-?
