Based
on visual observations by personnel present during the tank removal,
the tank was reported to have several holes. At the tune the tank was
removed, the contents were reported to be unleaded gasoline fuel.
' Documents relating to the removal of the tank are provided in
Appendix G
' Soil and Ground Water Investigations
' Soil and ground water investigations at Tank Site #1 were performed
by Kleinfelder, Inc in March 1990 and by ERM-West in March 1991.
These investigations are discussed further below
Ejeinfelder Investigation
' Kleinfelder, Inc. was retained in March 1990 by EHJ Construction to
investigate the petroleum release. Tracer Research Corporation
' (Tracer), under subcontract to Kleinfelder, performed a soil gas
survey at 14 locations (see Figure 4-1 for sample locations designated
A through N).
