ERM—West,Inc <br /> t 1777 Sotelho Drive <br /> Suite 260 <br /> October 14, 1992 Walnut Creek, CA 94596 <br /> (510)946-0455 <br /> (510)946-9968(Fax) <br /> u <br /> Ms Mary Meays OCT 15 1992 <br /> Public Health Services/ <br /> Environmental Health ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH <br /> San Joaquin County PERMIT/SERVICES <br /> 1601 East Hazelton Avenue <br /> Stockton, CA 95201 <br /> Subject Third Quarter 1992 Ground Water <br /> Monitoring Report Former Tank <br /> Sites #1 and #2 1325 West Weber <br /> Avenue, Stockton, California Site <br /> Code 1284 ERM <br /> Dear Mary <br /> ERM-West, Inc has completed the Third Quarter 1992 ground water sampling <br /> at 1325 West Weber Avenue, Former Tank Sites #1 and #2 (Figure 1) <br /> Discussed herein are the purging and sampling methods and the results of <br /> the laboratory analyses For your reference, also included in the data tables of <br /> this report are summaries of sampling findings from previous quarters <br /> Per your letter dated July 27, 1992 to Mr Ric Notini of Catellus Development <br /> Corporation, we have enclosed the chain of custody forms for the soil <br /> sampling during installation of monitoring well MW-4A on March 28, 1992 <br /> Purging and Sampling <br /> Monitoring wells MWA through MW-5 (Former Tank Site #1) and MW1A <br /> through MW-4A (Former Tank Site #2) were purged and sampled on <br /> September 1, 1992 by ERM-West, Inc personnel Prior to purging, the depth <br /> to water in the wells was measured by the wetted tape method (Table 1) The <br /> depth of each well was also measured The wells were then purged by <br /> removing approximately 5 to 25 gallons of water per well The monitoring <br /> well purge records are attached <br /> After purging was completed, the wells were sampled Sampling was <br /> accomplished with a pre-cleaned Teflon® bailer equipped with a removable <br /> petcock Water was transferred from the bailer into laboratory-supplied <br /> bottles All samples provided to the laboratory were labeled and sealed into <br /> Zip-Lock® type plastic bags, and then placed on ice in a cooler <br /> Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) procedures were followed <br /> during purging and sampling Prior to work at each well, the equipment was <br /> A MEMBER OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL RESOURCES MANAGEMENT GROUP <br />
