SECTION 1 <br /> ■' INTRODUCTION <br /> This document is a summary report for the investigation of the <br /> former tank site #2 located at 1325 West Weber Avenue, Stockton, <br /> California (Figures 3-1 and 1-2). It is a supplement to the October <br /> 1991 Problem Assessment Report (PAR) for the site I This report is <br /> being submitted to the Environmental Health Division (EHD) of <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Services by ERM-West, Inc <br /> (ERM-West) on behalf of Catellus Development Corporation <br /> (Catellus) The report has been prepared in accordance with <br /> regulatory guidelines, specifically the Tri-Regional Board Staff <br /> Recommendations for Preliminary Evaluation and Investigation of <br /> Underground Tank Sites, dated August 10, 1990 <br /> The purpose of this report is to summarize the site characterization <br /> and investigation activities to date for the removal of the leaking tank <br /> at the former tank site #2. Analytical data have been summarized in <br /> this report and original laboratory reports have been included in an <br /> appendix <br /> Two additional tanks (former tanks #1 and #3) were previously <br /> removed from the property At former tank site #1, no hydrocarbon <br /> constituents were detected in the soil and groundwater during tank <br /> removal activities Gasoline and related petroleum compounds were <br /> detected at former tank site #3, a total of five groundwater monitoring <br /> wells have been installed at this site and they are bei <br /> nitored on <br /> a quarterly bass The tank removal and investigation a activities for <br /> these two sites have been summarized in the PAR. <br /> Following this introduction, the report rove <br /> and <br /> background information for the former tank site #2 (Section 2)1 The <br /> report discusses findings from the removal of the underground <br /> storage tank at the site (Section 3) A summary of the investigation <br /> associated with the installation of monitoring wells at the site is <br /> provided in Section 4 A summary of findings and a description of <br /> additional data needs (including problem statement) are contained in <br /> Section 5 For an evaluation of potential remedial alternatives, please <br /> refer to the PAR <br /> 1 Interim Preliminary Assessment Report for Storage Tanks Located at 1325, 1541 and <br /> 1515 West Weber Avenue, Stockton, California, prepared by ERM-West, Inc , October <br /> I 1991 <br /> G <br /> 1-1 <br />
