' ERM-West,Inc <br /> 1777 Botelho Dave <br /> Suite 260 <br /> Walnut Creek,CA 94596 <br /> "16 (510)946-0455 <br /> (510)946-9968(Fax) <br /> September 11, 1997 f t• �, i 7 �� ��' �� <br /> Ms Mary Meays <br /> Senior REHS <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Services <br /> Environmental Health Division <br /> ' 304 East Weber Avenue, Third Floor ERM � <br /> Stockton, CA 95202 <br /> ' SUBJECT Recent Ground Water Monitoring Results <br /> 1325 and 1515 West Weber Avenue <br /> Stockton, California <br /> Dear Ms Meays <br /> ' On behalf of Catellus Development Corporation (Catellus), ERM-West,Inc , <br /> (ERM) is pleased to submit this letter summarizing the results of the most recent <br /> rounds of ground water monitoring at Catellus' properties at 1325 and 1515 West <br /> Weber Avenue in Stockton, California The two monitoring rounds that are the <br /> subject of this letter were conducted in December 1996 and May 1997 These <br /> monitoring events included measuring water levels, sampling the ten on-site <br /> ' wells (Figure 1), and reinstalling Oxygen Release Compound (ORC) socks in <br /> selected wells The field procedures are described below, followed by a <br /> discussion of the water level measurements and analytical results associated with <br /> ieach monitoring event <br /> FIELD PROCEDURES/OBSERVATIONS <br /> Water levels and total depths of each well were measured at approximately 715 <br /> ' am on December 18, 1996 and 9 30 am on May 7, 1997 These data and the <br /> calculated ground water elevations associated with these sampling events are <br /> presented in Attachment A <br /> Prior to sampling, each well was systematically purged of three casing volumes <br /> ' using a submersible Grundfos pump Ground water samples were collected and <br /> placed into containers appropriate for the analysis of interest(Fe+2, pH, <br /> f Conductivity, Nitrate, Chloride, Dissolved Methane, Dissolved CO2, BTEX, <br /> Trimethylbenzene, TPH(g), TPH(d), Dissolved Mn) Purge records/field notes <br /> associated with the sampling events are presented in Attachment B The sample <br /> containers were labeled appropriately and maintained in chilled coolers until <br /> they could be transported to the laboratory <br /> tA member of the Environmental <br /> Resources Management Group <br />
