09/02 '00 NED 17 05 FAX 10259469966 ERMST We Q021
ti R1
• W A G E 4
.Land Use
The 1325 and 1515 West Weber properties are located in an industx ial area
of Stockton,Callfarnia. Both properties have historically beenusedfor
industrial purposes and both are zoned for heavy industrial use ERM is
not aware of any plans to change the zoning of these properties in the
foreseeable future_
Soil
Based on land use information for the subject properties and the absence
of residual soil constituents in surface soils, there is little or no
opportunity for exposure to residual soil constituents under conditios
associated with the industrial use of these sites Specific pomts regarding
potential exposure are noted below
Because residual soil constituents are confaied to the subsurface,
industrial workers at the subject properties are unlikely to be exposed
to soil constituents via direct contact(I e, incidental ingestion and
dermal contact)
. Suiularly, because soil coristituernts are confined to dept, industrial
workers are unlikely to be exposed to residual soil constituents vias the
inhalation of fugitive dust
Q Only isolated detwbons of volatile organic compounds (VOCry are
present in subsurface soils Because of the very linuted detections, the
migration of these compounds front►soil into air is not expend to
represent as slgrufacant exposure pathway for industrol workers.
However, construction workers or others involved, in intrusive subsurface
activities at the site may be exposed to residual constituents in subsurface
soils Under this sce io,exposure may occur via the following routes:
e Incidental ingestion
9 Dermad contact
4 hihalation of VOCs released from soAs that are exposed during
excavation or other intrusive activities.
VOCs detected in soil include the aromatic hydrocarbons benzene, toluene,
• ethylbanzere,and xy1mes
